Crossing Oceans for A Cure Benefit Weekend Can you count the number of times that you truly made a difference in the world? In each day there are moments of decision that will define and change who we are. These decisions ripple then define and change the future of others. In every moment we as parents can make a decision that will cause change. They can be small or, they can be large and shared with others throughout the World. Please help us to make a change now and raise funds to cure our children & brighten their futures. ISMRD announces Crossing Oceans for A Cure, its 1st ever Benefit Weekend to raise funds to promote ISMRD's mission on behalf of Glycoprotein Storage Diseases. ISMRD's Board of Directors would like to invite families affected by a Glycoprotein Storage Disease to attend the weekend's events in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area on April 22 and 23rd 2005. This is a grass roots event from family and friends of The Terri and Walt Klein family, with a goal to help further the mission of ISMRD. It is an incredible opportunity to create Public Focus, raise much needed funds for medical research and gather families from around the world for family outreach & networking as we did with ISMRD's Family Conference in Rockville, Maryland April 2004. Activities for the weekend include: • Friday 22nd April 2005, Ann Arbor, Michigan USA – 10:00 am: a Focus Group/Medical Workshop hosted by ISMRD Board members Terri Klein and Jenny Noble. Guest Speakers include Dr. Jules LeRoy, M.D PhD, Emeritus Professor of Pediatric and Medical Genetics Ghent, Belgium & Dr. Mark Patterson, MD FRACP, Professor of Clinical Neurology and Clinical Pediatrics, Columbia University New York, NY. • Saturday 23rd April 2005, Hudson Mills Metropark, Dexter, Michigan USA – 9:00 am: Fun Run - 5K /1K Walk/Run For a more detailed synopsis of what, where, how and when please read the latest Event News, download our Event Brochure [in Adobe Acrobat format] or contact our Event Chairs:
