International Workshop Agenda

The Glycoproteinoses: An International Workshop on Advances in Pathogenesis and Therapy will bring together all of the key players in glycoproteinosis research world wide under one roof for the first time to focus on this very rare but under scrutinized group of diseases. The goal of is to contribute to greater coordination and information sharing among researchers and facilitating scientific collaborations. It will also offer basic and applied research investigators the opportunity to determine the current state of research, clinical care and the direction of future research. These goals will be strengthened by the interaction of workshop participants with patients and their families in attendance.

Admittance to the workshop will be limited to invited presenters, junior investigators and NIH researchers to maximize the free flow of information and ideas. Approximately 40-50 seats will be reserved for registrants of the Family Conference. Funding for the International Workshop is provided via grants from the National Institutes of Health.
